Free agent Adam McGurk has joined Pompey on a two-year contract after turning down a new deal at Burton Albion.

26 year old McGurk who can play left wing or up front, hit 19 goals in 69 appearances for Burton Albion, after joining them from Tranmere Rovers in 2013.

Key goals for McGurk have included hitting the winner against Harry Redknapp’s QPR to knock them out of the Capital One Cup in the 2nd Round last season.

He scored the opening goal in Burton’s 2-0 win at the Pirelli Stadium against Pompey in September 2014.

He also finished neatly to gave Burton all three points against Wycombe in April this year.
