Brandon Haunstrup, Chad Field and Snorre Nilsen have signed their first professional contracts with Pompey.

The trio who featured for Pompey Academy and Pompey Reserves sides last season, as well as spending time on youth loan to Bognor Regis Town, sealed one-year deals with the club and returned to training with the first team squad on Wednesday.

Left-back Haunstrup, shared the news on Twitter: ‘After 10 years at the club, I’m happy to have signed my first professional contract at @officialpompey’.

Centre-back Field, also on Twitter said: ‘Pleased to have signed my first professional contract with @officialpompey today! Looking forward to the season ahead’.

Academy manager Mark Kelly said: “Brandon skippered the youth team last season and really stood out along with Conor Chaplin.

“He got up and down the wing and has really developed going forward, providing consistently good deliveries.

Snorre and Chad both have the potential to grow as footballers and have improved a lot over the past year.

They spent time on loan at Bognor last season and had experience of senior football. That may be something we look at again.

But it’s important that they also work with the players here, so we can see how they develop.”
